Job Summary

This is an hourly position as a research assistant. The research assistant will assist with a research project working with Dr. Z. Song and Dr. Q. Zhu (Department of Computer and Informational Science) and Dr. N. Czap and Dr. H. Czap (Department of Social Sciences). The expected commitment is up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities*

The research assistant will be expected to:

  • Complete project work under the supervision of the faculty members 
  • Attend research meetings and actively participate in electronic discussions
  • Submit project documentation in a timely manner
  • Keep track of hours worked  
  • Communicate with university staff and administration.

Required Qualifications*

  • Must be a current UM-Dearborn student pursuing a master degree in Computer and Information Science
  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Proficient in mobile application development
  • Proficient in web service usages
  • Proved experience (at least one semester) working with CIS faculty on research projects
  • Proved experience with data analysis 

Desired Qualifications*

Experience with data acquisition from sensors using microcontrollers.
