Reporting to the Deputy Chief Development Officer for Individual Giving, you will create a dynamic engagement strategy to retain and acquire members. You will lead the planning and execution of Apollo Circle events and develop exceptional experiences that promote, diversify, expand, and educate our patrons.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Recruit and support volunteer leadership for the Apollo Circle and its signature Benefit event.

  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual Apollo Circle Benefit in partnership with Special Events colleagues and the volunteer Host Committee.

  • Secure a lead sponsor for the Apollo Circle Benefit, in collaboration with Development colleagues

  • Create core messaging and communication materials (print and digital) for Apollo Circle and Apollo Circle Patron programs.

  • Oversee a benefit program that secures approximately 1M in total revenue yearly, thru a combination of membership dues, benefit sales and sponsorships.

  • Design and execute a marketing strategy and materials to attract new members.

  • Plan and deliver approximately 15 exclusive Apollo Circle events annually.

  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with departments including Design, Special Events, Restaurant Associates, Development, and Curatorial.

  • Liaise with the Membership team to ensure continuity between The Young Members Program and Apollo Circle.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in leading fundraising initiatives, patron groups, and events.

  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with patrons, external partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Supervisory experience required.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Tessitura or comparable development database systems.

  • Demonstrated experience working both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment, successfully managing tasks and large-scale events.

  • A strong understanding of New York's arts and culture ecosystem and deep knowledge of young patron interests and preferences.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

  • Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $82,000.00 / Annually
