Description:Provide formal instruction and assistance Inspecting aircraft components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and analyzes wear metal content on engine lubricating oil and other fluids, and recommends corrective action. Determines test method, and prepares fluids and parts for nondestructive inspection. Performs nondestructive inspection on structures, components, and systems and detects flaws such as cracks, delamination, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic test equipment. Interprets nondestructive inspection test results, and provides information about defects to repair center. Operates, maintains, and inspects nondestructive equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
The instructor shall possess at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with military experience clearing aircraft for flight equipment discrepancies and 4 years current experience in their respective disciplines on F-16's. Experience to include: Inspect selected aircraft components with Radiographic, Eddy Current Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrate Techniques. Analyze Engine Oil Samples for Trace Elements. On and Off aircraft.
Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory. All instructors shall be U.S. citizens. All personnel must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security clearance prior to starting employment. Must be able to obtain a final secret clearance. All necessary instructor, technical and skills certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with foreign nationals and documented Instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration. F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred; shop/flight line setup, debrief, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams. Experience in more than one of the aforementioned areas will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
