Summary
First Horizon Bank – Correspondent Banking is a leading provider of specialty services for depository institutions (i.e., banks and credit unions). Services include depository liquidity management, credit, treasury, safekeeping, and international services. We are seeking a proactive individual to manage a client services team that oversees the daily business activities for these relationships.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Direct management for our Client Services Representatives. Management includes maintaining detailed working procedures and ensuring a well-trained team. Team works directly with clients and internal partners to onboard and administer our product offerings. Offerings include:
- Analyzed and Sweep Demand Deposit Accounts
- Fed Funds – Invested and Borrowed
- Treasury – Wires, ACH. Banking Online
- Settlement w/Federal Reserve – Cash Letters and ACH
- Loan Payments and line draws
- Support Commercial Safekeeping and FHN Financial to further enhance their relationships and growth with correspondent clients.
- Resolve issues and exceptions with clients, bank operations and compliance and identify/adopt measures that addresses any shortcomings.
- Formulate strong internal partnerships within First Horizon’s treasury management team along with various operations, technology, and other internal partners to increase deposit/treasury sales opportunities and positive onboarding results.
- Collaborate with internal partners in the development of a client interface portal specifically for correspondent banks, and to establish profitable and competitive product pricing.
- Point person for business continuity. Maintain detail records, plans and inventory that supports periodic assessments and tests of our preparedness.
- Primary contact and coordinator for periodic reviews and assessments with:
- Internal Audit
- BSA/ AML
- Enterprise Risk
- Bank Operations
- Treasury Management
- Obtain periodic client NACHA audits and monitoring limits documented with the Federal Reserve. Ensure current PD grades are updated with Bank Operations for settlement clients.
- Ensure fed funds invested and accommodations agreements are up-to-date and retained.
Desired Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline such as accounting, finance, or economics. Candidates with a degree in a non-business major or equivalent experience who have a strong skill set suited for this position will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.
- 7 years of related experience; 5 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Proven ability to interact with and influence C-Suite executives of client institutions and prospects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and on a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be very well organized, detail oriented, and focused on complete customer satisfaction.
- Travel is occasionally required to meet with clients or prospects to ensure proper servicing of accounts and/or expanding overall relationships.
