City of Hutchinson seeks applications to fill a Full Time Wastewater Plant Operator position. 

This is technical work in the operations/maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and collection system and lift stations. 

Duties include:

• Use of SCADA, specializing in wastewater treatment and collection systems,

• Performing safe work alone, with peers and crews of various sizes/configurations to oversee wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance by monitoring, inspecting and managing a variety of activities related to operating, repairing and maintain the wastewater treatment facility. 

• City snow removal and other duties as required. 

Requires:

• HS Diploma/GED

• Two years of related work experience OR completion of an accredited technical program in Water and/or Wastewater operations and maintenance,

• One year of industry-related work experience. 

• Class D Wastewater and Class D Water Operator Certificates or ability to obtain within 18 months. 

• Ability to carry out oral/written instructions with little supervision. 

Salary range $24.94 /hour to $37.41 /hour.  Depending on Qualifications.
