Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Antigen Production department located at our Saint Joseph. MO facility. As an Intern, you will form part of a collaborative production team focused in the manufacturing of antigens for our site. There will be opportunities to assist in performing aseptic processes, data collection and analysis, review of trends and process improvement, experiment design.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments with supervision to assess impact and feasibility of new processing technologies.
- Critically analyze and interpret data using statistical methods.
- Organize, record and maintain large experimental data sets.
- Communicate study findings across multiple departments.
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with policies/procedures/regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
- Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of one year of laboratory or cell culture experience
- Bachelor's in chemical engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences or Biotechnology
- Basic knowledge of primary cell culture and bioanalytical methods.
- A passion and curiosity for creating and building things.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Willingness to learn with hands on participation.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be an enrolled student through internship with a graduation date no earlier than December 2
