Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in transfer pricing that offers a unique blend of strategic planning, compliance, and business partnering? Join us at AstraZeneca, a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines. We are committed to advancing innovative treatments and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.

Your Role

As Associate Director, U.S. Transfer Pricing, you will lead and manage transfer pricing audits and controversies, primarily with U.S. tax authorities. You will develop and implement strategies to navigate disputes effectively, while also supporting the IRS audits for R&D tax credits claimed. This role will require a hands-on approach to preparing and submitting responses to audit queries, ensuring AstraZeneca's compliance and financial objectives are achieved.

In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft transfer pricing strategies that align with AstraZeneca's business goals. Your expertise in conducting functional and economic analyses will support the company's transfer pricing positions, while your deep understanding of evolving U.S. and international tax laws will keep our policies robust and up-to-date. You will play a critical role in shaping AstraZeneca's global tax strategy.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide guidance to senior management and various business units on intercompany pricing strategies and initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with our finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure that transfer pricing policies are seamlessly integrated across the business. A key focus will be managing the integration of Alexion transfer pricing with AstraZeneca's operations, ensuring a smooth alignment.

On the compliance side, you will be responsible for ensuring that AstraZeneca meets all U.S. and international transfer pricing regulations. You'll manage the preparation and submission of comprehensive transfer pricing documentation, while providing key insights into financial flows, statutory accounting, and SG&A allocations. Your expertise will also be pivotal in advising on legal entity forecasting, ensuring intercompany policies are applied consistently across the board.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in transfer pricing within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international transfer pricing regulations and guidelines.

  • Proven experience in managing transfer pricing audits and controversies.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Apply today and be part of a world-leading pharmaceutical company that is making a difference on a global scale.
