We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms and Angular 8. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns. This role requires leadership in developing web applications, mentoring a team, and participating in architectural reviews. You will be responsible for creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based components and interfaces, ensuring that designs comply with specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Coach Scrum Team: Guide the team in Front-End Development activities using Angular, Java, and Springboot.
- Ensure Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality, unit test cases, and best coding practices across all code implementations.
- Development Practices: Follow and enforce best development practices while ensuring the team adheres to these practices.
- Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Proof of Concept Projects: Work on proof of concept (PoC) projects to create reusable development patterns.
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, leading technology solution discussions.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Documentation and Assistance Tools: Develop documentation and support tools for users.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing with front-end technologies (Angular or React).
- Proven experience with Java EE platforms and Angular 8.
- Expertise in Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Proven leadership in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Springboot).
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) is a bonus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coaching junior and staff-level developers.
- Extensive experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including delivery.
- 3-5 years of experience with Atlassian tool suites (BitBucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience using IDE and GIT repositories for code management.
- Strong understanding of waterfall, Agile, and Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem resolution skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65 to $73 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
