A Day in the Life:

Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day Crush, Refinery, Milling or Packaging warehouse department. Support the Warehouse Manager in monitoring and improving warehouse productivity.

What You'll Be Doing:

Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated, and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
Oversee warehouse activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency. Monitor levels of materials and ingredients to plan future moves.
Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Ensure department is compliant with sanitation requirements through the supervision of all phases of the receiving and warehousing materials, supplies, and products.
Practices principles of good people management to include hiring and training of new employees and development of all employees.
Coordinate the development of written standard operating procedures and ensure the proper training and adherence to such procedures are followed.

Maintain organization of materials, packaging and finished goods for efficient retrieval, rotation, and inventory. Plan, lead, and conduct inventory counts of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods as determined by management.
Monitor inventory at Third-Party facilities.
Facilitate good communication by regularly informing management of significant operational issues, changes, and recommendations.
Coordinate maintenance of all material handling equipment.
Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of warehouse in all aspects.
Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in warehouse.
Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

3+ years of experience in warehouse environment, preferably in a production facility, is required
3+ years of supervisor experience is preferred
High School graduate or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree is preferred
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including SAP,Microsoft Word, and other technical software packages, as needed

Ability to work odd hours and weekends as needed
