A Day in the Life:
Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day Crush, Refinery, Milling or Packaging warehouse department. Support the Warehouse Manager in monitoring and improving warehouse productivity.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated, and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
- Oversee warehouse activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency. Monitor levels of materials and ingredients to plan future moves.
- Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure department is compliant with sanitation requirements through the supervision of all phases of the receiving and warehousing materials, supplies, and products.
- Practices principles of good people management to include hiring and training of new employees and development of all employees.
- Coordinate the development of written standard operating procedures and ensure the proper training and adherence to such procedures are followed.
- Maintain organization of materials, packaging and finished goods for efficient retrieval, rotation, and inventory. Plan, lead, and conduct inventory counts of ingredients, packaging, and finished goods as determined by management.
- Monitor inventory at Third-Party facilities.
- Facilitate good communication by regularly informing management of significant operational issues, changes, and recommendations.
- Coordinate maintenance of all material handling equipment.
- Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of warehouse in all aspects.
- Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
- Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in warehouse.
- Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skill/Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse environment, preferably in a production facility, is required
- 3+ years of supervisor experience is preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Proficiency with basic computer skills, including SAP,Microsoft Word, and other technical software packages, as needed
- Ability to work odd hours and weekends as needed
