Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled VMware Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware Aria Operations, vRealize Network Insight Documentation, and hold relevant VMware certifications. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our virtualized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- VMware Administration: Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
- Aria Operations: Utilize VMware Aria Operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of virtualized environments.
- Network Insight: Implement and maintain vRealize Network Insight for network visibility, troubleshooting, and security.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all VMware-related processes, configurations, and procedures.
- System Performance: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Security: Ensure the security of the virtualized environments by implementing best practices and regular updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VMware-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in VMware administration.
- Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher certification required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
- Experience with VMware Aria Operations and vRealize Network Insight.
- Strong understanding of network concepts and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
