Full Job Description

Description:The VIT Lead plays a critical role in the program by the leading the tactical execution team on the floor, known as the Vehicle Integration Team. The VIT Lead is an independent and capable Engineer that can lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers through the assembly process of their assigned VIT.
* VIT Lead is responsible for understanding and
executing the nominal build and test flow of their
assigned module
* Ensure communication with Vehicle Manager (VM)
throughout the day.
* Plan and execute the weekly schedule.
* Approves and communicates updates to the schedule
as needed. Schedule items should not be added,
removed, or modified without VM or VIT Lead approval.
* Enable the floor by making sure the floor has parts and
paper.
* Identifying and removing schedule impacting technical
issues such as PRs and QNotes.
* Ensuring paper closure.
* Working with MPS and VM to clear future engineering
and parts issues
* Participates in Weekly Vehicle Mission meeting
* Coordinator of assigned Vehicle Integration Team
* Provides daily status at Director/Customer tag up
meetings
* Ensures work conforms to VM direction & Master
Schedule
* Provide daily operating plan and adjusts as required
* Ensures members are actively supporting assigned VIT
* Ensures cross system assembly sequence integration
* Maintain lesson learned database coordinate with
IE/OET Group.
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience working with test and manufacturing engineering
* Experience working with external customers
* Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Desired Skills:
* Experience using Microsoft Project
* Experience using SAP
* Leadership experience is preferred

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
