We’re the Ads Privacy & Safety (APaS) UX team, part of the company's wide priority to improve user trust. We protect users from being exposed to inappropriate ads (including fraudulent, scammy and offensive ads), misinformation, hate speech and political deepfakes. We increase consumer trust by designing user-first solutions for today's regulatory environment and giving consumers transparency and control over the ads they see.
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a strong program manager to work across organizational boundaries to infuse user-centricity in our Advertiser Policy Experiences to drive user-centric decision-making and optimal business and user outcomes.
- This role will partner with the Ads Safety UX Lead, multiple UXers and xFN partner to identify the problem statement, the requirements and the approach to the solution.
- You will directly manage the day-to-day work of the program's most important projects.
- You will enable us to operate with clarity, focus, and efficiency.
- You will bring the right teams together at the right time.
- You will help elevate the user experience by enabling teams to understand requirements, identify risks, and set priorities.
- You are a master planner, skilled communicator, and a flexible dot connector who enjoys balancing a portfolio of projects, seeing the big picture, and creating order out of chaos.
- As a UX Program Manager, you will also manage communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Scope workstream including; Identify risks and opportunities, outline detailed requirements, clearly articulate stakeholders and roles & responsibilities
- Own OKRs and prioritization with UX team leadership, xFN, and cross-functional partners to drive quarterly decision-making around UX priorities, resource allocation and OPEX/T&E management
- Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and senior management regarding program health, resource requirements, issues, and priorities.
- Align priorities across a wide range of distributed stakeholders. Ability to contextualize, translate, and communicate requirements to various groups and stakeholders
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs and driving operational efforts across organizations.
- Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies.
- Experience analyzing data and leveraging insights to develop solutions.
- Experience improving the velocity/productivity of teams, products, and systems.
- Power user of our workspace tools
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Track record for a systems thinking mindset with an inherent ability to understand the root causes of problems, to look for connections, and to trace cause and effect across an entire ecosystem
- Experience working in the Ads business
- Experience collaborating with senior UX, product managers and engineers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-faceted programs that span multiple surface teams or organizations
- Deep understanding of the UX process and user-centered development; familiar with UX design, user research
- Comfort with ambiguity and experience working in fast-paced or startup environments
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Ability to establish trusted relationships and influence, drive alignment across a senior and diverse set of PM and Eng stakeholders
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $84.06 to $93.40 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
