Purpose Statement
This postion will work Friday thru Sunday- 5:00 am - 6:30 pm.
The Production Line Coordinator oversees the transformation of raw materials into finished goods, ensuring adherence to quantity, quality, safety, and sanitary standards while minimizing costs in compliance with HACCP and GMP guidelines.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Break Relief: Provide coverage for associates during breaks to maintain operational flow.
- Production Scheduling: Follow and adapt the production schedule across various lines and batch rooms to achieve targeted goals.
- Material Flow Management: Direct the flow of materials and labor to ensure the production of high-quality products.
- Waste Reduction: Monitor and manage waste of packaging and raw materials, keeping it below budgeted targets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee work orders for equipment maintenance and recommend improvements in machinery and production methods.
- Work Scheduling: Develop associate work schedules that optimize productivity while minimizing staffing and overtime costs.
- Team Facilitation: Facilitate operations in all production areas and coach associates in their roles.
- Product Rework Management: Organize crews for product rework, setting time standards and ensuring completion.
- Audit Compliance: Ensure adherence to company standards and conduct periodic audits, addressing deficiencies as needed.
- Associate Development: Motivate and develop production associates to enhance performance.
- Production Reporting: Maintain and report production metrics (yields, efficiencies, labor utilization) to the Shift Lead, providing insights into operational issues.
- Technology Awareness: Stay informed about the latest manufacturing technologies and systems.
- Shift Transition Management: Ensure smooth production transitions between shifts.
- Work Order Follow-Up: Follow up on sanitation and safety work orders to ensure prompt resolution.
- GMP Inspections: Participate in weekly inspections and address any identified deficiencies.
- Collaboration: Assist other departments with labor utilization, information sharing, and cross-training.
- Task Completion: Ensure all scheduled work is completed within established guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Equipment Operation: Proficient in operating all equipment within the production area.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Software Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with SCADA, SAP, and IQS is advantageous.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple assignments, demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: High level of interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse personalities and management styles.
- Confidentiality: Maturity to handle confidential matters appropriately.
- Problem-Solving: Proven problem-solving ability and capability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and multiple shifts as necessary.
