Positions: Hardware Refresh
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Location: Arlington, VA (some travel to Lorton, VA as needed)
Pay Rate: $31/hr. (SET RATE)
Shift: Monday – Friday (Core Hours 6 AM – 6 PM – 8.5 hour shift)
**Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust 4-12 Week Process – Extensive Financial and Criminal Check
**Open to travel to local sites (Lorton, VA) – MUST HAVE reliable transportation
MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor’s and 1+ year of experience OR 6+ years of experience
- Experience conducting imaging or large refresh projects / ServiceNow or Remedy
- Excellent customer service – provide updates on project status
- Ability to handle minor technical issues
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a group of technicians for fast-paced, Windows-based, hardware refresh projects at customer locations around the National Capital Region (NCR)
- Unbox, label and tag new devices
- Image of PCs, laptops, thin clients for a Windows 10 migration
- Configure devices to include standard activities such as adding devices to active directory, installing applications, configuring end-user profiles and reimaging machines as needed
- Wipe, decommission and dispose of retired equipment
- Respond in a timely matter to tickets and work orders
- Troubleshoot to diagnose issues; replace/swap out equipment
- Light phone support and documentation of standard operating procedures for issue resolution
- Hands on experience imaging Windows 11 devices or mobile devices
- Familiarity with government IT environment and administrative processes
- Experience using ServiceNow IT Service Management Solution
- Top notch customer service skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, hardware break-fix support (i.e. laptops, desktops, and printers), refresh, upgrade and deployment projects as well as excellent customer service skills in a corporate environment.
- Must have schedule flexibility to work nights/weekends as required
- Able to spend a significant portion of the day unboxing and installing hardware. Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
