As a Technical Writer you will report directly to the Salesforce Manager. We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organization. Our mature Salesforce instance serves as the operational hub for sales and support which requires us to continually provide cutting edge technology solutions. You will work alongside our Team of Administrators and Developers to collaborate on solution based on stakeholders requirement.
At CARFAX we believe in power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This role has an expectation of 3 days in our Centreville, VA office per week, subject to change based on future business needs.
What you'll be doing:
Prepare, review, revise and maintain existing documentation to align with Salesforce updates and new features.
Write, format, edit, review and proof procedural and technical information for technical and non-technical users.
Review potential releases for documentation within the Salesforce Metadata.
Assist in planning, scheduling and tracking documentation work to correspond with release schedule.
Collaborating with cross function teams to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.Participate in stakeholder meetings to obtain solutions based on stakeholders requirements.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical writing, preferably within software or technology environment.
Strong understanding of Salesforce Platforms and functionalities is highly desirable.
Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Proficiency in using documentation tools and softwares such as Confluence Markdown, or Adobe FrameMaker.
Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents for accuracy and clarity.
