Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop DOR-related training content, storyboards, and surveys (Department of Revenue Integrated System (doris), New Employee Onboarding, and more).
- Provide high-level administrative support to the ERTB Administrative Branch Manager and team members.
- Facilitate and coordinate training events, including room reservations, equipment setup, and participant communication.
- Create and assist in updating internal documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Develop, update, and proofread outbound correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the design and facilitation of training sessions, including logistical support and learner assistance.
- Assist in answering training questions including, but not limited to, those incoming to the DOR Training mailbox.
- Manage tasks in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Learning Management System (MyPURPOSE), ensuring precision and adherence.
- Update departmental websites and SharePoint sites with relevant information.
- Train learners using a variety of delivery methods.
- Actively seek and complete professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all federal/Finance and Administration Cabinet (FAC)/DOR rules, policies, and procedures (including, but not limited to Time and Attendance and Telecommuting).
- Manage ERTB purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and tracking.
- Complete other duties as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, Teams)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities
- Responsiveness to virtual communications while working remotely
- Ability to adapt training approaches to meet the needs of different audiences
- Experience in designing and delivering training using diverse methods
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Familiarity with instructional design principles
- Experience with survey development tools (e.g., Mentimeter)
- Familiarity with course creation platforms (e.g., Articulate 360)
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
- Understanding of IRS Publication 1075 and systems handling Federal Tax Information (FTI)
- Experience with ordering supplies
