Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Merrifield, VA (2 days on site)
Engagement: 6-month Contract-to-Hire (CTH)
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer to join our team in Merrifield, VA, supporting USPS. This hybrid role requires on-site presence for 2 days a week and offers a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform long-term machine configuration, commissioning, documentation, and installation verification and support for new or relocated postal sorting equipment.
- Build machine configurations and user interfaces.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues during deployment and verification.
- Utilize industrial control bus topologies, PLC programming, and HMI creation to support system operations.
Requirements:
- Skills in hardware, software, and configuration troubleshooting.
- Experience with industrial control bus architectures like ControlNet, DeviceNet, or EtherIP.
- Knowledge of PLC communication.
- Proficiency in GE Cimplicity HMI software or other common HMI software packages such as FactoryTalk.
- Additional skills in PLC programming and HMI creation are beneficial.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: Up to $55/hour
- Conversion Salary: $110,000 annually
