Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer for a large Telecommunications client in Denver, CO. This position will be required to work a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite/1 day remote) in Denver, CO. This position is a 6 mo. rolling contract position with extension based upon performance.
Pay Rate:$45-50/hr.

This position is part of the capacity management team in a data center environment. This position will be working with the data center hardware intake team as a liasion between customers and data center teams. This position will work with the customer to get cable diagrams to ensure network, storage and coverage requirements are adequate in preparation for server builds by the data center team. The position will require management of the server install process and hardware readiness tickets in preparation for large customer projects.
Top 3 requirements:
- 5-10 years of Data center experience (knowledge of data center hardware, how it interconnects, fiber/copper cable builds)
- Strong communications to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of network, storage, back up, data center hardware and cabling technologies
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with Dell, HP, or Cisco server and network equipment.
- Experience working in data center environment (hands on with rack and stack, cabling, server installation)
- Understanding of storage, back up, capacity management, server migrations, decommissioning
- Experience working with external customers managing server builds
- Cherwell (or similar) ticketing experience
- Strong communication skills
- Previous Telecom experience a plus.
