Job Title: Supply Planning Manager
Location: Dover, DE (Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Duration: 6-month contract, potential for extension
Position Summary
The Supply Planning Manager oversees the Supply Planning function, providing leadership and guidance to the team. They serve as a key point of contact for Demand Planning, Customer Service, Warehouse & Distribution, Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Finance and Commercial Marketing. The Supply Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in our Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring alignment of supply plans with strategic business objectives and contributing to decision-making that supports our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) customer service order fulfillment objectives while maintaining inventory levels within targets.
- Develop and oversee master production plans based on net demand driven by sales forecasts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and adjust master production plans to optimize resource utilization and meet forecasted demand, while also proactively evaluating and addressing capacity constraints to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee the deployment and rebalancing of finished stock across our distribution network and third-party co-packers.
- Lead Supply Planning activities to support the successful launch of new products, product restages and/or cost savings initiatives.
- Manages finished good inventory levels in the near-term and leads monthly meetings on SLOB (Slow-Moving and Obsolete) stock, driving cross-functional collaboration to create disposition plans and securing authorization for the disposal of obsolete materials.
- Facilitate the Supply Review (SR) as part of the EBP process, ensuring clear communication of constraints and Supply Plans to support the 24-month rolling Demand Plan.
- Provide supply planning insights during the Management Business Review, ensuring alignment with EBP objectives.
- Maintain SAP and JDA system processes, item master data and planning system parameters in support of key business metrics.
- Lead the Annual Business Plan process in conjunction with Operations, Finance, Procurement, and the Global Data & Analytics Team.
- Lead and direct departmental personnel, including performance management and development plans.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of Supply Planning experience in a consumer product manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership with expertise in SAP, Microsoft Office, and JDA/Manugistics planning systems.
- Strong ability to manage complex planning schedules and timelines.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder influence.
- Effective verbal and written communication, team collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- High adaptability, organization, and multitasking capability in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Financial cost analysis experience.
- Advanced degree or MBA.
- IBP, APICS or SCOR Certification.
