Full Job Description
Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a position based in Orlando, FL. The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States and possibly some international suppliers. Duties include:
Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards
Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests
Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities
Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities
Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports
Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis
Basic Qualifications:
STEM Degree at Bachelors level or higher and/or equivalent experience/combined education
Must have ability to obtain a security clearance
A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong understanding of engineering requirements
Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action
Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
Understanding engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
A basic understanding of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers on a daily bases to support the Program
Ability to certify/approve a supplier to perform specified processes
Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions
Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities
Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports
Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government Representatives
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher is preferred.
A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems
ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
Experience with working with suppliers in a dynamic environment
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
