Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Ships Self Defense System (SSDS) test Director to support all SSDS variants the fleet has to offer.

The selected candidate will:
Setup mission events utilizing a daily site element schedule. Coordinate the check-out and installations of computer programs and electronic data. Energize and initialize computers and combat systems elements. Establish interface switch paths. Perform system check-out, and other site preparations necessary to ensure the readiness of the requested systems and equipment to support a successful mission event. Perform systematic take down at the completion of the mission event. Prepare and initiate comprehensive mission operations reports. Coordinate system level troubleshooting efforts. Function as the primary technical point of contact for SCSC mission customers. Promptly report to the Government the status of the mission events, systems and equipment.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and years of related/relevant skills required: High School/GED and at least 10 years experience on board an SSDS Platform, with a minimum of four years ( may be concurrent) leading a team of technical/tactical operators engaged in the employment of Surface Weapons Systems in the support of Surface, Subsurface, Air, Strike, C4I, and Ballistic Missile Defense warfare areas as part of the Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT).
Also required:
Three years Technical experience, specifically on SSDS MK1 and MK 2 (all mods) combat systems, responsible for the Combat Systems Maintenance Manager organization and with the technical knowledge to bring combat systems up from cold iron status to support testing.
Security clearance requirements:
This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by the US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer with a delayed start date until aninterim Secret clearance is granted.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD security clearance. Experience in a RDT&E environment. Knowledge and experience with ACCESS and TRMS. Four years as an SSDS CSMM or CSSE
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $56200 - $95500
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
