On-site 5 days per week!
The Controller is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Controller is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Controller will have contact with business and operational lead team which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Major activities/Key Challenges:
* Ensure general ledger and financial statements are complete and accurate.
* Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing functions
* Manage month end and year end accounting closing processes. * Ensures month end deadlines are met.
* Ensures financial statements are accurately stated before closing the accounting period.
* Perform general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
* Responsible for the integrity of the closing process for Oracle and JDE systems.
* Prepare and ensure that all journal entries are prepared in accordance with GAAP and Arconic policy.
* Gather data and prepare reports for key personnel as requested. * Provide analytical support in order to help drive business decisions: Product Margin Analysis, Working Capital Assessment, Risks & Opportunities, etc.
* Support the financial forecasting, annual planning and bridging activities.
* Assist with analysis and reporting from corporate productivity tracker. Leading, supervising and coaching the development and activities of the accounting team.
