Job Description:
Job Title: IT Sr. Project ManagerPay Rate: $80 – 85 per hour.
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid 2x/week)
Job Summary:
A highly motivated, experienced IT Sr. Project Manager is needed to lead a project team in alignment with departmental, divisional, and business unit objectives. This role will provide governance and oversight of end-to-end delivery, resource management, administrative direction, and leadership guidance and support for team members. The Sr. PM will work closely with multiple areas within the organization, in addition to managing vendor suppliers.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience with Confluence and Jira.
- Leadership experience in managing large programs with multiple stakeholders and agencies.
Daily Responsibilities:
Technical Program Management:
- Utilize scaled agile methodologies for efficient program management and delivery.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor technical performance and provide senior management with reports.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices through effective quality control processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners to develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment of priorities across various projects and groups.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints and meet program goals.
- Coordinate release schedules and build processes across cross-functional teams.
- Achieve QCD goals, including schedule, budget, and quality commitments, effectively linking IT activity to business outcomes.
- Resolve incidents and manage problems impacting delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop program strategy, supporting business cases, and various high-level project plans.
- Ensure integration of projects, adjusting scope, timing, and budgets as needed based on business needs.
- Communicate program strategy, direction, and changes with IT leadership, business leadership, and IT Business Consultants.
- Deliver all projects within the IT project portfolio on time, within budget, and meeting strategic and business requirements.
- Track key project milestones and recommend adjustments to Project Managers.
- Partner with senior business leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve enterprise goals.
- Manage all aspects of program design, development, and implementation.
- Direct and mentor a team of project managers, portfolio managers, and/or other project management staff.
Position Success Criteria (Desired):
- Experience delivering consumer-facing websites, digital platforms, or services involving complex data, transactions, or integrations.
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence tools for managing project artifacts and user stories.
- Ability to document product requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive industry background.
- Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem and products.
- Understanding of Cookie Management Concepts and Regulations, and the OneTrust Cookie Consent Management tool.
- 10 to 15 years of IT work experience.
- 10+ years managing complex IT projects.
Additional Comments:
- Advanced ability in managing complex, enterprise-wide IT programs.
- Advanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets.
- Advanced ability in risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Oversee implementation of program and project plans, monitor progress, resource usage, and quality, and make necessary adjustments.
- Evolve the vision of project management practices.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple project management strategies, disciplines, and theories.
- Advanced ability to implement project management strategies, disciplines, and theories into a shared vision.
