Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team as a contingent resource. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience consulting on complex software engineering challenges, working across large-scale initiatives, and delivering solutions that align with client requirements. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by reviewing and resolving complex engineering issues while collaborating closely with internal and client teams.
Responsibilities:
- Consult on Large-Scale Software Engineering Initiatives: Work on complex initiatives that have a broad impact, contributing your expertise in planning, strategy, and execution for software engineering efforts.
- Analyze Multi-Faceted Engineering Challenges: Perform in-depth reviews and analyses of sophisticated software engineering challenges, identifying root causes and formulating effective resolutions.
- Problem Resolution: Collaborate with teams to address and resolve complex technical situations, ensuring solutions adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Client Collaboration: Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel to deliver on key deliverables, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Technical Skills:
- ServiceNow Development: Proven experience in ServiceNow platform development, including customization and workflow management.
- CMDB Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) principles and best practices.
- CSDM Knowledge: Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its applications within ServiceNow.
- Custom App Development: Experience developing custom applications to meet specific business needs.
Preferred Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve multi-faceted engineering issues.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and client personnel.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks for software development.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
