Job Description:
Software Design Engineer
Est. Duration: 7-months (potential to extend)
Pay Range: 55-65/hr DoE
Location: Remote (PST hours)
A Fortune 50 Client in the Greater Seattle Area is looking for an SDE to join the team to help partners across the company create new AI tool models. The main function of this software engineer is to help with the manual DevOps for fine-tuned models. This involves both manual creation of models and developing automated solutions for partners to create models independently. Working on creating automated solutions to streamline the process of model creation, aiming to reduce the need for manual intervention.
Typical Day in the Role
* Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to assist partners across the company in creating machine learning models. They are working on developing automated solutions to enable partners to create these models independently. Until these solutions are fully operational, the team requires a DevOps person to manually create the models, which is a time-consuming task.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a project team to coordinate LLM FT Deployments
* Review project requests describing user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Skills:
* Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
* Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
* Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
* Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
* Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as C#, SQL, VisualBasic, etc.
Candidate Requirements
* Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
* Degrees or certifications required: A bachelors degree is required to be eligible for this role.
* Disqualifiers: Candidates need to be proactive and communicative, especially in reaching out to partners and understanding their issues during model creation. Candidates must have experience in C#, .NET, Azure, and React JS.
