This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
• Analyze requirements and coordinate the results with AVE HWIL stakeholders to ensure the lifecycle functions, needs, and objectives of the test bed are captured and understood.
• Evaluate and translate the user needs into testable system functional, performance, and interface requirements and verification activities.
• Define the architecture, decompose and allocate system-level requirements to test sets, network interfaces, human-machine interfaces, common test equipment, special test equipment, data acquisition systems, and the system test controller.
• Perform Trade Studies for Make/Buy decisions as required.
• Mentor junior engineers on the team.
• Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
• Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.
• Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and effect the image of the organization technological capability.
• Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in STEM; 10 years with a Masters; 8 years with a PhD
• US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
• LabVIEW development experience
• Must be able to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
• Experience working on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
• Experience reading hardware schematics
• Experience in the design of test sets
• Experience in developing telemetry systems for aerospace applications
• Experience in translating requirements into design
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
• Experience in embedded software development using C/C++
• Familiarity with Atlassian Products including Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects and resources
• Experience with AFI 91-101 and AFMAN 91-118, 91-119

Salary Range: $142,500 - $213,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
