The Role

Do you want to be part of a team working on building a new business in a rapidly growing segment of the market? We are looking for a motivated, analytical, and solutions oriented individual who will join our Managed Discretionary Solutions team within the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Managed and Advisory Solutions area.

As advisor adoption of Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) continues to increase, we are planning to purposefully grow and expand our Custom SMA distribution and product offering solutions to capitalize on the market environment. This product area provides exposure and experience collaborating with cross functional and cross enterprise teams including Asset Management, Fidelity Institutional, LRC (Legal, Risk, & Compliance), Technology, Performance Management & Reporting, and more.

The Senior Manager, Custom SMA Product Management will support the implementation and ongoing support of Fidelity Institutional's Custom SMA product initiatives, with the following core responsibilities:

  • Engage in data/information gathering and analysis to inform product strategy and product development activities

  • Generate insightful, decision-support analysis for key stakeholders and product owners shape the future of our business and product offerings

  • Participate in product lifecycle process design and requirements definition to deliver on the Custom SMA product roadmap

  • Support, facilitate and deliver on product workstream efforts and bring new product offerings to market while collaborating with the product area and cross-enterprise partners

  • Provide Custom SMA product management support and drive resolution of client experience issues, business risks and process impediments

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS degree required. Progress towards an MBA and/or CFA preferred.

  • Five plus (5+) years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, product development, or product strategy roles

  • Self-starter, independently oriented and excited by prospect of working on strategic initiatives with the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver business results

  • Ability to work with ambiguity, understand complex business problems, synthesize information, analyze data, and develop practical solutions and recommendations

  • Strong proficiency in creating visually appealing, persuasive, and effective PowerPoint presentations

  • Proficient in organizing and analyzing data to support strategic business decisions.

  • Provide business support to Product Area leadership, squads, and the product development team by playing a key analyst role in deliverables

  • Understand intermediary distribution and the competitive landscape to help shape product strategy and complete deliverables

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required ensuring analyses are thoroughly vetted and sound

  • Communication Skills and the ability to clearly, concisely and persuasively present sophisticated proposals, issues and arguments, both in writing and verbally.

  • Manage internal and external communications related to assigned product responsibilities

  • Knowledge of managed accounts and separately managed accounts (SMA) preferred

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
