Job Title: Reliability Engineer
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Pay Rate: $55.00 - $65.00/HR
Contract Layout: 6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire with Client
Salary at Perm Hire: Negotiated with Client + PTO/Benefits
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 4 years of maintenance, quality assurance, or reliability engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- DoD Security Clearance **Sponsorship Eligibility**
- Working knowledge and understanding of Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability
Responsibilities
- Responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems.
- Identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote the concept of reliability engineering during all phases of the software development lifecycle to detect and correct performance issues and meet availability goals.
- Provides leadership, technical assistance and guidance to all reliability and maintenance interfacing team members.
- Perform analytics on previous incidents to understand root causes and better predict and prevent future issues.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques to improve system observability.
- Work with industrial, military, and commercial system troubleshooting and repair.
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, capacity planning and launch reviews.
- Use proactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance techniques to avoid and to detect equipment failures.
- Recommend innovative solutions to increase equipment and facility life and reduce maintenance costs through the analysis of repetitive equipment failures/breakdowns and predictive maintenance analysis reports.
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Remain current with reliability engineering methods and trends such as observability-driven development and chaos engineering.
