We are currently seeking a Part Time Registered Dietitian I to join our Community Dining team in Seattle, WA.
What will YOU do?
The Registered Dietitian I perform entry-level nutritional assessment and education. The Registered Dietitian I may be working towards their credentials through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (RD), and/or certification through the WA State Department of Health (CD).
Pay Rate: $42,900 per year.
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 3 days/week, Tues/Wed/Thu or Tues/Wed/Fri (Flexible), (This position has a potential to grow into 40 hours/week in 2025).

Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate nutrition education for clients.
- Assess nutritional needs of clients. Develop criteria and assess clients with high-risk nutritional issues.
- Provide support on programmatic practices of standards of food production and service, sanitation, safety and security, and food service system goals.
- Assess, evaluate and prescribe modified/therapeutic and culturally appropriate diets.
- Review and approve menus, ingredients, and/or nutritional analyses against nutrition program requirements. Based on client feedback, recommend menu changes and assist with new meal development.
- Advise on the preparation and serving of special or modified diets.
- Integrate nutritional care program with food production and delivery.
- Inspect food being served for compliance with policies and standards governing proper proportioning, sanitation, and food handling.
- Seek and integrate cultural guidance from diverse community members/agencies about how to best serve individual clients.
- Act as Mandatory Reporter as defined by state law, immediately report identified concerns such as abuse, neglect, emergent medical issues, etc. to appropriate state or local authority and notify supervisor; comply with other related laws organization policies and program procedures.
- Perform administrative support for the program as needed to achieve efficient use of information, equipment, and resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field.
- One (1) year of related work or volunteer experience.
- Dietitian registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Dietitian certification with the Washington State Department of Health or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
