Responsibilities / Tasks
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets for capital equipment within the territory as set by the Director.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers to identify, qualify, and pursue leads.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities by penetrating the market and gathering market intelligence.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements within GEA to align with internal teams and ensure successful project execution.
- Represent GEA in a professional and customer-focused manner, demonstrating industry expertise.
- Conduct timely follow-up on all inquiries and maintain communication throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with engineers and internal teams to develop tailored solutions for customers.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive formal proposals to potential customers.
- Participate in industry trade shows to showcase GEA solutions and develop new customer contacts.
- Negotiate terms & conditions of sales, secrecy agreements, and finalize contracts in coordination with business unit management.
- Provide order confirmations and actively participate in turnover meetings with project management and internal teams.
- Track and report on sales activities, proposal status, and sales forecasts.
- Manage travel and entertainment expenses in line with company policies.
- Work closely with the Service organization to ensure a unified approach to customer visits and technical solutions.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong drive to close deals and secure orders.
- Knowledge of food or dairy processing equipment, with a hands-on background in equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical data and engineering systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet customer needs and attend industry events.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable with technology.
