Job Summary
The Department of Recreational Services is seeking student staff to supervise the Recreation Center for the winter semester. Students will be responsible for helping create a welcoming and safe environment, and must have prior experience working in a recreation facility. Shifts may be days or evenings, weekdays or weekends, depending on availability.
Responsibilities*
- Supervise the Recreation Center daily operations, including providing quality customer service to students and patrons
- Provide for safety, security, and cleanliness of the facility
- Set up and break down spaces for programs and special events
- Be knowledgeable on policies and procedures while supervising facility operations student staff
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
Required Qualifications*
- Current UM-Flint student
- Current UM-Flint Recreational Services employee, or equivalent experience working in a recreation facility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds n occasion
- Current, or ability to obtain, CPR/AED/First Aid certification

Work study award for upcoming academic semester
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
