Program Manager - Design for Excellence Consultant


DfX plays a key role in Philips’ ability, in collaboration between business functions, to address total end-to-end cost and margin improvement, often establishing new ways of working, encouraging cooperation and transparency at a product and business level.

Your role:

  • • Co-creating 12–18-month business & profitability improvement roadmap, together with business & function partners, based on data driven insights.

    • Coaching the project team members on Design for eXcellence methodology to create extended network of expertise and drive talent transformation

    • Enabling end-to-end business & profitability improvements through leadership of strategic initiatives & projects that change the way work within the team and across the business (e.g. develop engagement model to support early concept development in R&D, Portfolio Optimization through SKU reduction)

    • Supporting knowledge management through maintaining and expanding our toolkit and best practice database.

You're the right fit if:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. Engineering or other technical background) + MBA or equivalent experience

  • Professional with 10+ years strong track record leading cross-functional projects, developing teams, with high level of comfort with ambiguity

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management principles, SAFe/Agile, Continuous improvement (e.g. LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen techniques), value proposition creation and/or design thinking

  • Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau, R, SQL, Python, OBS)

  • Previous experience in a regulated market (e.g. medical device, aerospace, automotive) with prior consulting, medical device experience a plus

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
