Ridgway Law Group, PS a highly respected Seattle based law firm is seeking to hire two Associate Attorneys with 4+ years of experience in Probate/Estate Litigation to join our amazing team.
Must have experience dealing with legal disputes that are not able to be resolved through mediation, including, will contests, fiduciary disputes, trust mismanagement, executor misconduct, and asset distribution disagreements. The firm is known for its personalized client service, legal guidance, and skillful advocacy. With over 40 years of experience, the firm is dedicated to finding practical solutions and providing effective legal representation.
To be considered for the position, applicants must have a successful academic record, strong communication/writing skills, and a positive, collaborative attitude. Must not be afraid to take on difficult challenges, is self-motivated, enthusiastic, needs minor supervision, and is analytical.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage case progression:
- Develop strategy and participate in strategy discussion
- Determine priorities and identify issues
- Draft and review essential legal documents
- Ensure timelines are met
- Conduct legal research as needed
- Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver outstanding legal services
- Draft internal case summaries, strategy reports, and advisory memoranda to maintain clear communication with supervising attorneys
- Uphold compliance with applicable legal standards, ethical rules, and firm policies throughout the entire lifecycle of each case
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the WSBA
- Minimum of 4+ years' experience in probate/estate/trust/litigation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines
- Work independently, with minimal supervision and be highly organized
- Team player with a collaborative spirit and a compassionate nature
Preferred: some knowledge of Tabs Practice Master
Minimum of 1200+ billable hours annually
