Job Description: Program Aide
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Personal Care-Program Aide to join our team in Westbourne, WBNEL. As a Personal Care-Program Aide, you will be responsible for providing assistance to our clients in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of care.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Able to speak, read, and write English (as required by DSS regulation 487.9.13)
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Skills:
As a Personal Care-Program Aide, you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our clients and their families. You will also use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that our clients receive the correct medication and care. Additionally, your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing the highest quality of care to our clients on a daily basis.
