Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Parking Specialist 1 provides high-level customer service while helping patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees gain access to the facilities they need. Under general supervision, the Parking Specialist 1 issues parking assignments to anyone who parks a motor vehicle on campus, issues photo identification badges to all employees, volunteers and students, and processes tenant parking billing, posts payments and maintains records for these accounts. May assist and work with new-hire orientation or provide orientation materials to HR team. The Parking Specialist 1 uses a basic understanding of internal systems, facilities, garage structures, and autonomous judgement to create access solutions for customers, understanding when to escalate judgments to leadership depending on the nature of the situation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Maintains database to record sale/issuance of parking tokens and permits.
  • Issues parking assignments to patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees who park a motor vehicle on campus.
  • Processes and issues photo identification badges to all employees, volunteers, students, and authorized contract employees.
  • Collects fees and issues receipts for parking token purchases and citation payments as applicable.
  • Maintains vehicle registration data by entering the appropriate information into database and keeping the actual form in a secure area for future reference.
  • Processes billings, posts payments, and maintains records for all tenant parking accounts.

  • Ability to understand the customer?s point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Basic computer skills, including but not limited to: typing, information security, hand held scanning and email.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
