Job Summary
Logistics, Transportation & Parking is seeking full time Customer Service Representatives to act as a Parking Ambassador for the patient and visitor parking structures at the Michigan Medicine parking facilities.
Responsibilities*
Assist patients and visitors by directing them to available parking spaces
Assist parkers with items they may need to take to their destination, as necessary (wheelchairs, strollers, or belongings); use motorized vehicle, as necessary
Direct patients and visitors to their destination inside the hospital, escort patient and visitors to location, if necessary
Monitor full conditions of parking facility, redirect patients and visitors to another facility, if necessary
Assist patients and visitors with location of vehicle upon their return to the structure on foot or by use of motorized vehicle
Act as customer service ambassador to Michigan Medicine
Report any suspicious behavior or activities to Michigan Medicine Security and supervisor
Monitor and report suspected unauthorized parking activity
Maintain areas of the parking structure by assisting in the cleaning, removal of trash, salting icy areas, and shoveling snow
Report any elevator outage to Hospital Maintenance
May work occasionally in a different classification depending on departmental staffing needs
Operate a university vehicle to relocate to other locations to assist in operations and/or assist parking attendants
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Required Qualifications*
High School Diploma
At least one (1) year of customer service experience
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions
Ability to stay active/moving for most of the shift
Ability to fulfill the necessary requirements to operate a university vehicle
Desired Qualifications*
At least two (2) years of customer service experience
Customer service experience in a hospital setting
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM.
