The Vivint Inside Sales organization is growing rapidly and along with it our operational logistics. This sales team is the best around, converting a diverse lead base into new subscribers; currently at over 400 sales professionals strong. The NIS Commission Analyst will have the opportunity to directly influence the accountability and performance of this skilled team. In this role, you’ll manage key communications between sales leadership, payroll, legal, and the sales professionals themselves. Customer experience is a critical ingredient of the formula that has driven success at Vivint. As manager, you’ll ensure our customers continue praising our team by monitoring key compliance metrics and verifying that pros are correctly and ethically commissioned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission Calculation: Accurately calculate commissions for our Inside Sales teams based on performance data on a bi-weekly and monthly cadence, as well as commission true-ups for prior periods.
  • Payroll Preparation: Prepare and validate payroll import files to ensure timely and correct commission payments.
  • Sales Rep Support: Respond to inquiries from sales reps regarding commission calculations and discrepancies, providing clear and helpful explanations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Use Excel, SQL, and Tableau to create reports and perform analysis related to commission structures, payouts, and trends.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure all commission-related data in our systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve commission processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Some experience in analytics, finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Excel: Basic to intermediate proficiency (e.g., LOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
    • SQL: Basic understanding, with the ability to write simple queries.
    • Tableau: Basic knowledge of creating and interpreting dashboards and visualizations.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reporting, as well as auditing commission data for errors.
  • Communication: Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced SQL skills, ability to translate complex business requirements into performant scripts
  • Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses leveraging data automation
  • Conversation analytics platform experience (Callminer)
  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Consulting, Analytics, Data Engineering / ETL, Compliance, Commissions, Payroll
  • Prior experience paying or calculating commissions
  • Understanding of compliance concepts and audits
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely – both in writing and verbally

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
