Job Description:

Network Engineer
Location: Lincoln, NE (hybrid onsite)
Overview:
In this role you would provide daily ongoing deployment, configuration, support, administration, maintenance and technical solutions to various technology components that make up the IT Infrastructure environment.
Job Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, support, and maintain IT infrastructure.
• Participate in projects and daily operations.
• Support network environments (campus, data center, WAN).
• Troubleshoot firewalls and VPNs.
• Handle after-hours changes and 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce requirements and design solutions.
• Provide training and technical support.

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Information Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:

• 5-7 years in network and security, covering routing/switching, data center, wireless, security, VPN, collaboration, virtualization, disaster recovery, and cloud services.

Skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Teamwork and client interaction abilities.
• Knowledge of NIST standards.
• Proficiency with Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, network design, load balancing, SD-WAN, routing protocols, VPNs, and network automation.
• Familiarity with AWS and multi-cloud environments.
