Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Network Architect for an exciting opportunity for with our clients Telecommunications Infrastructure team.

The Network Architect will work with vendors on creating BOMs to ensure that all the proper equipment and data lines are ordered. They will assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures and recommend changes to policies and procedures for maintenance and administration processes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate highly technical information with business representatives using non-technical terminology.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field experience.
- CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
- Five years of experience in a complex network environment.
- Five years of experience with hands-on experience in telecommunications or network engineering preferred.
- Five years of experience in IT infrastructure or related IT experience, with five years of network and telephony engineering, design, and implementation experience preferred.
- General experience and knowledge working with LAN switch technology preferred.
Skills:
- Extensive design and architecture experience with Cisco data center routers and switches
- Preferred experience in Cisco Networking, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ISE, InfoBlox, Citrix Netscaler, Vmware Networking and Azure cloud networking
- Preferred experience in Cisco SD-WAN, Vmware NSX-T, Palo Alto firewalls
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Demonstrated experience implementing WAN Infrastructure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations.
- Open-minded and willing to leverage the ideas of others to achieve objectives.
- Independent self-starter with a continuous learning and improvement mindset.
- Strong customer service orientation combined with a passion for business collaboration technologies and enabling employee-to-employee collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in the resolution of business or systems issues.
- Ability to oversee and mentor junior resources and consultant resources as applicable.
- Drives problem investigation and resolution as required.
