Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee our New Here Coffee platform across all locations nationwide. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service for our customers by managing day-to-day operations, developing strategic plans, and driving marketing efforts. The role requires a visionary leader who can build and maintain strong vendor relationships, create an engaging atmosphere that promotes customer loyalty, and enhance brand visibility. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic planning and hands-on management, ensuring operational efficiency and financial success at each location.
What You Will Do
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of New Here Coffee locations nationwide, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for each location, including localized marketing plans, external partner collaboration, and tenant engagement programs.
- Manage existing Infuse Coffee relationship (3rd party cafe manager) at multiple locations, including performance and accountability, financial reviews, and staffing plans.
- Maintain and enhance the reputation of each location, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage purchasing and delivery of coffee supplies.
- Collaborate with Core team members on the development and deployment of future New Here Coffee operation models, leveraging in-place residential leasing staff as the barista team, providing logistical support and ongoing equipment training, taking feedback, and adjusting the coffee program as needed.
- Monitor and report financial performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet sales targets.
Staff Management
- Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance skills and performance.
- Create staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and coaching to staff members.
- Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as needed.
Marketing and Sales
- Manage marketing campaigns for all locations to drive both resident and non-resident sales.
- Implement and oversee local marketing initiatives to engage residents and the broader community.
New Cafe Development
- Coordinate with Core development and construction teams on programming, design, equipment procurement, permitting, and opening of new locations.
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to improve future New Here Coffee locations' design and layout.
- Provide logistical support and ongoing equipment training for new locations.
- Plan, design, permit, and open new cafes across the nation.
Other Responsibilities
- Frequent travel may be necessary as needed.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Ideally, you'll have
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business management, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the coffee industry, cafe management, or the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing cafe staff to achieve high performance and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple locations, fostering long-term relationships with employees, customers, and partners.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and enhancing brand visibility in competitive markets.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns and digital marketing initiatives.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback to drive sales growth and improve customer engagement.
- Experience sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure high-quality products and services.
- Ability to manage inventory effectively, including ordering supplies, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and ensure efficient service.
- Ability to manage the financial aspects of the coffee shop, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and build a loyal customer base.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
