Job Summary

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities could include:

  • Room patients and perfomr standard patient intake including vitals
  • Assist with minor clinical office procedures
  • Performs standard medical laboratory/Point of Care (POC) testing.
  • Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directed
  • Respond to general patient inquiries regarding treatment and clinic policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies.
  • May complete general administrative duties as assigned including; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Disability and Return to Work forms, Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages, etc.
  • Complete other clinical and non-clinical duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an equivalent combination of patient care related education and patient care experience
    • 0-1 years of patient care experience for an Assistant level
    • 1-3 years of patient care experience for an Associate level
  • Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology
  • Moderate standing/walking, as well as, lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring patient.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA).
  • Experience working within a large complex outpatient health care setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records system.

Work Schedule

Full Time hours, 40 hours per week, weekday schedule will vary depending on location/clinic.

May be occasional weekends.
