Department Summary The University of Michigan's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), a unit within Student Life, is a multidisciplinary and multi-theoretical university counseling center with 50 licensed professional staff, 5 support staff, and 18 advanced professionals in training. CAPS serves a diverse student body of over 50,000 students. CAPS provides culturally humble clinical services, outreach programming, and training opportunities. Approximately 5,000 students each year receive individual clinical services at CAPS. Job Summary Open staff counseling positions would be located in our Central office or at specific schools/colleges in our Embedded Model. This is a 12-month permanent appointment. Clinical - 60% Administrative/Indirect Clinical Service - 20% Training - 10% Outreach and Community Engagement - 10% Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2024 or before 8/31/2024, will not be eligible for the university FY24-25 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified. This role may have reporting obligations under Title IX and Clery. UM is willing to pursue appropriate employment-based immigration sponsorship for eligible finalist.
