JOB SUMMARY
Showcasing thought leadership and driving engagement through our blogs are vital for the success of Aquent and its brand family. We strive to create unique, insightful, and relevant content with a compelling narrative that informs, educates, or inspires our audience.

As a ghostwriter, you will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company to produce compelling content for our brands, including Aquent, Aquent Talent, Aquent Studios, and Aquent Scout, with the possibility of expanding to other Aquent brands. Your responsibilities will encompass developing topics for our key audiences, drafting interview questions, conducting interviews with SMEs, and crafting blogs that authentically capture the SME’s ideas or point of view on a topic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Read voraciously, do research, and work with SMEs on new themes and topics to inspire and guide content ideas.
• Research keywords and search intent to further shape topics and help optimize content for search.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand their expertise; craft relevant interview questions; conduct interviews that foster a comfortable and productive dialogue.
• Write engaging blogs that reflect the SME’s voice and expertise, aligning with brand messaging; edit content for clarity, flow, and overall quality.
• Collaborate with SMEs and the creative team to create video, audio, and visual content.
• Publish blog content in the content management system.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TECHNOLOGIES

• 5+ years of experience creating B2B content as a ghostwriter specializing in corporate blogs and similar platforms.
• Excellent writing skills (eye for grammar and attention to detail); a journalistic writing sensibility; strong interviewing skills.
• A master storyteller who can take in information from various sources, adapt to brand and SME voice, and create a compelling narrative.
• Understands the importance of SEO and how to address it through content; experience researching keywords and search intent and optimizing articles for search while preserving quality/avoiding keyword stuffing.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop consistent, high-quality content.
• Familiarity with the creative and recruiting industries is a plus.
• Quick learner who is infinitely curious and ready to explore new topics; strong skills in researching and synthesizing insights to dig into new topics and trends.
• Knowledge of the creative, marketing, and design fields; interest in emerging technologies like AI and extended reality and important topics like environmental sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a desire to continue learning about new topics.
• Welcoming and encouraging of feedback; seeks continuous improvement.
• Technologies: Google Analytics, Content Management Systems (like Wordpress, DotCMS, etc.), Team Communication Tools (like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, etc.)
• This role involves collaborating with Marketing, internal Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs), and Guest Contributors to manage blog content, research, craft outlines, and edit articles that resonate with our audiences.
