Primary Purpose
Leads the PB Sourcing team responsible for reviewing & assessing ADUSA PB COGS of approx. $4B/annually. Responsible for determining the appropriate avenue to achieve optimal value (quality, supply, and cost) through negotiation for Private Brands category assortment. Responsible for delivering all corporate wide Private Brands COGs and savings budget planning and execution. Ensures Center Store Category Go to Market Strategy is achieved leveraging size and scale for ADUSA. Accountable for leading a team responsible for driving connectivity across Private Brands Category Development Managers and Center Store Category Teams for all ADUSA brands, and internal & external partners (including suppliers, Supply Chain, Finance, Economists, Product Excellence)
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC and Scarborough, ME.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential job functions:
- Independently perform the following responsibilities and teach/train/oversee others work for complex categories/events requiring advanced category understanding, independent decision making, & extensive planning & forethought
- Thought partner within the Private Brands Pod collaborating with Category, In Stock and Private Brands Category Development Teams to drive size and scale for ADUSA on assortment, specs, supplier performance, supply chain and logistics implications
- Understand and interpret Commodity Market impacts & other market influences (i.e. tariffs, pandemics, etc.) and partner with the Commodity Strategists on relevant impacts to current contracts and/or upcoming events
- Maintain market surveillance and develop plans to maintain and/or gain competitive advantages thru appropriate timing for execution and/or support of Sourcing events and Cost Increase negotiations
- Negotiate and/or advise on supplier costs, performance metrics, long-range plans and pursue supplier partnership opportunities
- Negotiate business and contractual terms including Supply Chain interaction and/or logistical coordination
- Plan & execute RFPs & teach/train/oversee the work of analysts requiring oversight
- Responsible for (1) providing all necessary input for the preparation of Private Brands contracts (MSAs, PLMSAs, Schedules, etc.) & (2) accountable for the final documentation review/approval

Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Fluency with both financial acumen (P&L management) & understanding & interpreting commodity markets. Demonstrated success with educating others on these topics
- Extensive knowledge of industry and suppliers
Skills:
- Advanced presentation skills (both developing the story & delivering it)
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Abilities:
- Ability to effectively teach/train/direct the work of others and provide constructive & timely feedback on performance

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- 6+ years of related sourcing, negotiating, category, & vendor management experience (preferred)
- Independent interaction with senior leadership levels across an organization
- Project Management/Facilitation
- Change Management
- Mastery of Microsoft suite
