Objective: To fabricate parts from blue prints for various production equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fabricate parts using various equipment such as bridgeports grinders, and millers.
- Test completed assembly for proper operation of unit, make adjustments, and record all modifications.
- Measure new molds, assemblies, and cavities prior to production qualification.
- Check specifications according to blue prints for all new equipment installations.
Additional Responsibilities: Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, Materials and parts) on computerized Maintenance system.
Education: Vocational school graduate of Machine Shop or Machine and Tool Technology or equivalent secondary school curriculum is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in a machine shop is required.
Requirements: Required to have own trade related tools to perform required tasks.
Special Credentials/Skills: Must have experience fabricating parts using a lathe and milling machine. Must have experience using the tools of the trade including calipers, vernier and micrometer. Should work well with others and have communication and interpersonal skills. Should have analytical and problem-solving skills.
