Licensed Practical Nurse - Cardiology
Washington DC
MUST:
3+years of experience working in an ambulatory-private physician practice setting or med surge unit
Experience working in the cardiology field and administering EKG s, Echo s and Stress Tests
Telephone triage
Processing and handling prescription refills
Licensed as an Licensed Practical Nurse in the District of Columbia
DUTIES:
The duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse include but are not limited to the following:
Train staff on pre-visit planning protocols
Conduct telephone triage following a script
Process prescriptions and refills
Handle various cardiology clinical procedures including EKG s, Echos and Stress Tests
Compile appointment notes and send to referring providers
Tracks patient for value-based payments programs
Train medical assistants
Ensure service levels are met for Cardiology and handle related tasks
Manage patient s for Clinical Trials
Collaborate with management for improvement projects
D etermine action plan s for cardiology patients
Document phone calls EMR
Manage prescription r efills
Reviews patient s medical records f or prescribed medication / histor ies
Contact patient s to schedule appointment for refil ls
Document and scan reports in
Other duties as assigned
