Position Description:
Apex Systems has an opportunity for a Lead / Mid Level Estimator for one of our fortune 500 clients.
Position Summary
As a construction estimator, you will mainly operate out of the office with occasional onsite visits. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing current and predicted market conditions to formulate a detailed estimation for a specific project.
You will also have to ensure cost-efficiency throughout the construction process. As a result, part of your job will be to visit construction sites to learn more about the clients requirements. During onsite visits, you will have to analyze proposals, blueprints, and construction documents to comprehensively recognize project conditions.
You will also have to collaborate with construction managers to align costs and supervise vendor and subcontractor bid processes. Using all the collected data, you will have to determine the projects time, labor, material, product, and development costs, which you will then convey to the client.
Basic Qualifications
- Estimating – Pre Construction
- HVAC Experience
- Sheet Metal
- Must be able to bring together entire bid & scope related to HVAC
- Lead: 7+ years of experience / Mid Level 3+ years of experience
