Job Description:
Lab Technician II
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare lab samples using CNC Mill, hand tools, Scotch Brite, sandpaper, and degreaser.
- Test lab samples for physical properties such as Rockwell Hardness, tensile strength, and conductivity.
- Pack and ship production samples within the company and to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds rarely.
- Capable of working in a manufacturing environment with required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel toe boots, metatarsal boots, hearing protection, and gloves.
- Competence in completing detailed part inspections regularly.
- Proficiency in using and reading inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauge pins.
- Willingness to learn and operate a CNC Mill.
- Competence in safely using hand tools such as deburring tools, small hammers, screwdrivers, and pliers.
