Product Managers are responsible for setting a product vision and strategy, drawing out the most value from a product and guiding Product Owners to execute on the product vision. The Product Manager also works closely with architects and other technical leads to ensure the solution effectively addresses program priorities while maintaining technical integrity. The Product Manager also attends most relevant product management meetings, planning, and backlog/vision refinement sessions. Product Managers work with Product Owners and customers to understand and communicate their needs, define system features, and participate in validation.
The Product Manager will be assisting Costco in rolling out disaster recovery and data center build initiatives. This role requires proficient experience managing complex technical, enterprise level initiatives. The role will require the ability to communicate with vendors, business teams, engineers, managers, and executives.

ROLE
● Collaborates with architects to understand the need to address technical debt and support technical innovation.
● Leads activities to support the delivery of new functionality including product launch communications, training materials, user acceptance testing, business validation, success criteria measurement and analysis, and post-deployment analysis to identify improvements.
● Participates in program ceremonies (e.g., product increment planning sessions, retrospectives, etc.)
● Facilitates system demos to demonstrate the enablement of new features and capabilities integrated across several products to program stakeholders.
● Coordinates the development and maintenance of a given product through the collaboration and partnership with internal customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
● Defines the product roadmap and collaborates with Product Owners and Release Managers to create release plans and backlogs.
● Writes features and success criteria with key stakeholders and business leaders.
● Refines the product roadmap based on insights gained from customer feedback.
● Facilitates Product Owner “Scrum-of-Scrum” meetings to drive alignment across product teams and assess and review scope adjustments.
● Makes final business decisions related to the product with input from business and technology stakeholders.
● Manages large-scale, technical projects, often with multiple internal and external partners/stakeholders.
● Supports Disaster Recovery vision and goals by ensuring a clear backlog of features and user stories are developed by various teams to deliver key project milestones.
● Articulates requirements for technical teams with detailed acceptance criteria.
● Uses data and insights effectively from multiple sources that benefits the business and the members.
● Pursues incremental delivery constantly by looking for ways to meet disaster recovery goals and learn from members and end-users through frequent, measurable enhancements.
● Works collaboratively and uses best practices with the delivery teams to support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and long-term release planning. Monitors and improves product health.
● Ensures completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, the output of automated testing, or where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts. Prioritize and collaborate in resolution of issues and defects.
● Seeks and improves processes across the entire product team.
● Defines, plans, and executes to plan. Provides a laser focus approach to managing scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
● Manages two or more global enterprise projects simultaneously.
● Collaborates with Architects, Information Security, Engineers, Vendors, and business leaders across business-facing portfolios.
● Develops and executes communication, training, and post-delivery support plans.
● Defines, tracks, and communicates project milestones.
● Mentors team members in project management artifacts, processes, tools, and techniques
● Ensures all project artifacts and deliverables are documented, approved, and stored for re-usability, support, and audit purposes in designated project tools.
● Provides appropriate staffing recommendations based on scope, work effort assessment, and necessary skills.
● Develops project budgets, manages changes, and tracks actual costs and variance to approved budget.
REQUIRED
● 10+ years’ experience managing complex global scale Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery technical projects building out Disaster Recovery Solutions.
● Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and work closely with engineering teams. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience is required.
● Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable plans.
● Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
● Demonstrated ability to hold teams and partners accountable for delivering high-quality, resilient, and stable solutions.
● Proven track record for successful delivery of projects and working cross-functionally with business and IT stakeholders.
● Proven ability to develop business relationships and communicate successfully with people at all levels of management; and exhibit excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
● Experience managing program and project level budgets including SaaS and capital expenditures.
● Ability to manage the program's architectural and technical strategies.
● Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
● Strong analytical approach, with attention to detail and excellent reporting skills.
● Ability to lead the resolution of high impact Issues and Risks.
● Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills.
● Experience working with and managing Internal Audit requirements.
● Proven history of meeting deadlines, within project constraints while delivering quality solutions.
● Ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels.
● Excellent and effective delegation skills, with strong follow-up skills.
● Ability to define and execute a project communication plan.

● Technical Experience in one or more: Systems Engineering, On-prem and/or Cloud Infrastructure or Networking.
● Product Manager Certification (PMC) and/or Project Management Certification (PMP).

Pay Ranges:
Level 3 - $125,000 - $162,000
Level 4 - $150,000 - $200,000
