Honeywell is hiring anInternal Communications Director.As the Internal Communications Director at Honeywell, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing internal communication strategies that align with our long-term vision and our businesses objectives.
You will work closely with senior leadership, human resources, and various departmental heads to ensure that all employees are aligned with the company's goals, culture, and values. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics.
You will report directly to our ESS Senior Director of Executive and Internal Communications, and you'll work out of our Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina on a Hybrid (3+ days) work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by:
- Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with the organization's objectives and support a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure consistency in messaging across all internal communication channels.
- Create and manage internal communication materials, including newsletters, announcements, comms plans, key messages, and presentations
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of internal communications activities and initiatives and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the internal communications channels, tools and processes to deliver timely and relevant information across the organization.
- Design and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement and participation in company activities and programs.
- Facilitate open lines of communication between employees and management to address concerns and gather feedback.
- Organize and manage internal events that foster team building and reinforce the company's culture and values.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on internal communications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals
- This is an individual contributor and hands-on role that partners with a team of internal communications professionals, providing guidance and support to junior communication team members and fostering a culture of collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters related to internal communication and employee engagement
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 10+ years of experience in internal communications or related roles, preferably in a global and complex organization.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communication strategies
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, email marketing software, and social media.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels.
- Highly motivated, self-directed and resilient, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
